Putting together a strong team doesn’t happen by accident. We assemble individuals with diverse backgrounds and diverse skillsets who take initiative, are creative and can problem solve.

What our Team is and isn’t
Our team is almost entirely employees; it’s not made up of contractors like many of our industry peers.

By hiring employees, we create a more dedicated team that’s here for the long haul: They get to personally know our clients. They are committed to serving them. And when a client returns to us for another project (which most of them do), we have a familiar team ready to jump in and work much more efficiently.

Another big difference is that we don’t use employees to augment clients’ staff. In other words, our employees don’t spend weeks, months or years on site. We are consultants, so employees can generally expect to travel no more than 25% of the time (depending on position).

As a mid-sized employer, our people are empowered to move fast and be nimble. We get many applicants from larger companies who are looking to work with less red tape, process and hoops. We can provide that freedom and creativity here at BTM.

The Skillsets and Mentality We Seek Out
We provide implementation and integration services for Oracle Retail and with NetSuite solutions. On the Oracle side, we look for applicants with a strong retail background, especially for our project delivery manager positions. Knowing the retail world is extremely important for understanding our clients’ needs and thinking proactively for them.

We work with a wide variety of clients on the NetSuite side, and prefer individuals with retail, manufacturing, business or wholesale industry experience.

For both Oracle and NetSuite, we look for individuals with consulting experience. We need people who can work in a fast-paced environment, who can be flexible, and who enjoy a client-facing role. We’re not “order takers” for our clients; we think holistically about their problems. We make sure our work meets their immediate needs and long-term goals.

An entrepreneurial mindset is another plus; we love people who can problem-solve on their own or come up with a creative solution to bring to the team!

Report to Someone who Understands your Role
At some consulting firms, you may report to a resourcing rep. Here at BTM, we typically structure teams based on skillsets. This way, employees report to someone who does similar work. They get a manager who knows what they do and better understands their needs.
