What are your responsibilities at the company?
I am responsible for working with clients to understand their business needs, collaborating with BTM technical team members to find the best solution to allow the system to accommodate the business need, and then communicating the solution back to the client. In addition, I work with the VN team to organize the testing of new patches and builds.
What made you want to join the team?
I joined the BTM team because one of my good friends was working here at the time, and he was very complimentary of the camaraderie and professionalism of the whole team. When I did my in-person interviews for my job, I was struck by how prepared the interviewers were and how much they cared about BTM.
What excites you about your work?
I love problem-solving and finding interesting or creative solutions to unique problems, so I really like when a customer comes to me with a new or unique business need, and I have to find a way to find how to get the software to fit this business case. I also really like talking to and getting to know the people working at the client and discovering the unique business processes and workflows that make each client special.
What do you wish others in the industry knew about the company?
I think people in the industry don’t realize how much the BTM team talks to each other internally, sharing knowledge and lessons learned across different projects. Twice a year, a few members of the BTM US team go to the BTM Vietnam team’s offices, and members of our Vietnam team visit the BTM US offices to ensure our communication and teamwork continue to improve.
What keeps you interested in this industry?
I really enjoy the people in the industry. There are so many fun and interesting people that work in the retail industry, and getting to meet and talk with them is one of my favorite things.
Why did you decide to join the company?
I decided to join the BTM team since I saw limited chances for growth at my previous job, and a good friend of mine was very happy working at BTM. My friend’s positivity about BTM made me want to join BTM.
Tell us about your life outside of work.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling to different countries and meeting interesting people or going on difficult hikes there. In addition, I play basketball, video games, and board games with my friends.
