Customer Success: A Real-Life Example
One of our customers served B2B and B2C customers both in-store and on their website, including home visits. When they came to us, they didn’t have a method to transact in the backyard. Instead, sales were being transacted in store and they had no ability to upsell. As you can imagine, having remote payments caused friction if changes were needed to the original service appointment.
We partnered with them to devise methods to make those sales and extend service to the customer’s backyard. We connected their systems via mobile hardware so their field teams could take orders, move inventory, and capture payment more efficiently and securely right from the customer’s home.
While this utilized some IT work, it didn’t require a complete overhaul of their backend systems, but rather was an updated extension of what they were doing. By leveraging a new version of their POS and connecting it with their old application versions, we were able to provide them system capabilities making their field teams more efficient sooner. Later this year, we’ll update the rest of their system landscape to make it even more seamless for their team to use!
