BTM Global Announces Successful Go-Live of Oracle Retail Point-of-Service Software across Scheels stores
Regional sporting goods retailer improves employee and customer in-store experiences with faster and more efficient technology
MINNEAPOLIS (October 13, 2016) – BTM Global, a premier provider of retail system integration and development services, announced the successful go-live of Oracle Retail Point-of-Service (ORPOS) v14 software for Scheels, a regional sporting goods retailer. The engagement with Scheels included application development for ORPOS, Back Office and Central Office, ORPOS upgrades and enhancements, as well as consultation regarding retail technology trends. The project is live in Scheels’ 26 stores throughout 11 states.
Following an initial short-term agreement during which BTM Global helped Scheels regain control of its source code and stabilize ORPOS v13 within 90 days, Scheels asked BTM Global to continue working as its POS application development vendor. BTM Global’s work included successfully integrating ORPOS with an unsupported technology stack, developing a custom ORPOS application for Scheels’ deli operations, conducting integrations between the corporate and store levels that improved inventory management, and streamlined the data required for customer returns. As a result of BTM Global’s development expertise, Scheels now has an enhanced cashier and customer experience with faster transaction processing at its stores.
